A NOTE FOR THE YOUTH

A NOTE TO THE YOUTH

Jose Rizal stated that “the youth is the hope of our country”. It means that youth can make our country a better place. But’ how came youth of this generation doesn’t look like the hope of our country?
Youth today are usually seen at home, malls, computer shops, and other commercial establishments. Youth of yesterday can sometimes be seen in the streets protesting for something. Why does youth change as time change? Youth is now more concern for their self interest and friends. Youth spent much time buying iPods, cellphones, and other stuffs which are more interesting than spending much time for helping a hungry orphan or helping an old woman cross the streets.
Youth stays at home rather than attending mass every Sundays. God is only asking for an hour or two for a mass but still youth usually chooses to stay at home, watch television, surf the net, play computer games, and chat with their friends. Aren’t they forgetting something? Did they forget that God created them? Without God’s creation, we will not be alive, without God’s creation there is no everything. Therefore, why does youth choose to stay at home rather than thanking God for everything?
Youth sang the Philippine National Anthem and recites the Panunumpa sa Watawat and Panatang Makabayan without any respect. Singing and reciting those won’t last a day! It’s just for a few minutes. Can’t youth of today show any respect to the Philippine flag?
And lastly, our environment looks like a huge trash can because it seems that youth just throw their trash anywhere they want. You can see a trash can in any city, so, why don’t youth throw their trash in trash cans? They are just giving the street cleaners a hard time.
Patriotism, the zealous love for one’s country, is used to be seen in our country’s history. In the past years, youth is with adults in EDSA protesting for a better government, youth can be heard shouting and debating for what is right. But, why did youth change? It’s not because the time and generation changed. Is it the new inventions? Or the new technology?
Youth of the past is rarely found these days. Youth of yesterday are feared to be extinct. Again “the youth is the hope of our country”, we can be the country’s last chance for a better government, we can be the next leaders of our country, and we can make our country a better place. Everything is possible if we just believe. All we have to do is be faithful to God. We must give our best in improving this country and let God do the rest.
Youth, if you want to be somebody, if you want to be somewhere, you better wake up and pay attention. Youth, wake up stand up and be brave, remember that we have a country to save!

HOW GREAT IS MY MOM

HOW GREAT IS MY MOM

I was awaken by the alarm clock sound
Simultaneous with my mother’s clapping hands
“Get up! Get up!” she said out loud
“You must beat the first bell sound”

I ran to the shower for my routine bath
I was surprised that soap and shampoo were already at my sight
My blouse, skirt and pair of socks
Were all ready on top of my bed

For my breakfast were longanisa, fried rice and egg
Always make sure our favorites are served.
And for our energy drinks, chocolate milk were ready
So with our vitamins that keeps me healthy.

How great is my mom
Who always listen to me and be at my side
She provides me love and care
Thanks God for giving me a wonderful mom.

HIGH SCHOOL REUNION

One day, I was walking around our school garden with my friends. At that day, I was so stressed because of studying our lessons all night. Due to stress, I felt like I have a headache and a few moments after, I fell down on the ground. After a few minutes, I opened my eyes and look around. I was in a place I never seen and never been. I look at myself, I grew older for like 20 years past. Then, I heard a familiar voice shouting to me, “Hey! Roni, hurry up! You are the only one missing!”. Missing? Why am I missing? And what am I going to mIss? I ran into the mansion in front of me. And there, I saw all of my classmates when I was in first year high school.
I started to feel hungry so I look for food. But, I found a huge poster instead of a food. On that poster was a huge picture of Ren, our class joker. Labeled below the picture was “THE WORLD’S BEST COMEDIAN FOR ALMOST FOUR YEARS”. There was a table beside the poster. A newspaper was on that table. Written on that newspaper was “LAUNCHING OF THE FIRST BOOK WRITTEN BY INA REYES WAS A HUGE SUCCESS”. WOAH! Ren became an actor and Ina became a poet! How did it happen?
A few minutes later, I noticed that someone on the stage became the apple of the eyes of everyone. I looked at the stage too. I saw there Pamela Cruz, the ballerina of our class. She became the country’s best ballerina and is known all over the world.
As I continue walking, I saw two girls who wear glamorous dresses. I look at them from head to toes. Then I realized that they were Laarnie and Claudine! Laarnie won the contest Project Runaway cycle 17 while Claudine became the model of the dresses that she designed.
I walk for more. Then someone pulled me. It was Czarinah. She told me that she now manages their family business. Afterwards, someone on stage wants to prove something. It was Kevin. He, as NASAs best astronaut, wants to prove that aliens don’t exist. He already reached every planet on the Milky Way Galaxy but never seen any alien.

Then I heard a few rumors. Behind me, was Celsie. He talks to everyone and encourages everyone to use the software he created that happens to be the most use software in USA. I kept listening to his words but suddenly a noise from the outside interrupted my listening. I listen to the noise, and I heard the name Arvin. Are they talking about Arvin Domingo? Then I learned that Arvin became the most famous stunt man in the country because of his talents in Karate do.
Finally, I found a table pure of food. I took a sandwich. Beside the table was written “MANAGES BY MARY ROSE ANN CUCIO”. After reading that, I realized that she became one of the country’s best cook. I saw her standing beside the table, talking to Zharina. I heard Zharina telling Mary that she is about to head at Mindanao to clean the teeth of the students in a school there. It seems that she followed her parents footsteps.
I noise from the back of the house caught my attention. I looked at there and I saw an airplane, a private plane. A lady and a man went down from the airplane,. The man is wearing his pilot uniform while the lady is dressed in a clean pink dress. I look closer. Wait a minute!! That lady in pink was Joy and the pilot was Ali. Then I noticed something, everyone is showing respect to Joy. Why? I saw Ren walking towards Joy. He greeted Joy “Welcome to the party. Ms. President”. What? Joy became the president of the Philippines?
Then, music was played. I look at the stage to see who is playing the piano. I noticed that it was Steven. Behind Steven was a banner written “THE WORLD’S BEST PIANIST”. Oh! Steven became known to the world because of his talents in playing the piano.

Then Maan past by, I noticed that she is also being respected by everyone. I heard someone shouted “Congratulations Maan for winning the election for the position of the Mayor!”. I realized that Maan became the Mayor of Quezon City. She is walking with Kimberly. I heard Maan told Kimberly that being an accountant is really hard. Accountant? Kimberly became an accountant. Then, there goes Dennis. I was, wondering why he had bodyguards? Then, I heard President Joy talking to Dennis, "How's Cabanatuan, mayor?" Woah! Dennis is now the mayor of Cabanatuan!

I heard a voice asking if she could leave the party already. It was Sheena. She said she have to go back to DepEd to start working. Then, I learned that she is the current Secretary of the Department of Education. Then, Meg showed up. She told me about her success. She once dream of owning a company, and now, it;s not a just dream. She owns the most trusted insurance company in the whole world!!!

In a table, there was a woman wearing a uniform of a nurse. It was Shiela. She became a nurse. Good for her. While I was looking around, I heard a loud voice. I turned back. It was Izel!! Well, I heard that she owns an accessories stores named BLAZIE, WOW!! Then I saw celsie talking to Josel,. I was trying to hear what they are talking about. They are talking about computer games. I heard that Josel created the newest computer game that are baing played by people of all ages all over the world!

Once again, a person on stage caught my attention. It was Fides. She's back from L.A. I was surprised to learn that she won at American Idol!! Someone is talking to Odin, it was Pamela Beley. She said that she is one of the world's greatest model, just like Odin.

I was wondering what happened to me. What do you think happened to me? Hhhhmmm.... They said that I was a great person. I became a poet, an international actress, and an insurance company owner! How did I do that?

After a few minutes....“Roni! Wake up! I noticed that I was in our school clinic and the story about our school is only a dream of mine. “Are you alright?” said all of my friends in chorus. Then, I whispered to myself, “You’re only dreaming. Welcome to reality…”

I learned from you - Miley cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus

 I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

To make your decision without any fear
But I can really trust you and give you the distance
To get to the place that we're going from here
We always don't agree on what is the best way

I learned from you
There's no question, that's a lesson
All of the reasons to keep on believing
I learned that strengh is something you choose
Chorus
I learned from you that I do not crumble

You taught me well
I can take care of myself
I knew you were right but I couldn't say so
I didn't realize that somewhere inside me
I thought that I knew all I need to know
I didn't want to listen to what you were saying
I'm greatful for all of the times
You opened my eyes

Chorus

You taught me to stand on my own
And I thank you for that, it saved me, it made me
And now that I'm looking back
I can say

Chorus x2

I learned from you oo oo oo

The Other Side Of Me - Miley Cyrus

The other side
the other side of me

By day
I play the part in every way
All simple sweet calm and collected
Pretend my friends
Im a chamelion
You make a girl feel disconected

Feel like a star a super hero
>Sometimes its hard to seperate
Thats too much on my plate

If you could see
the other side of me

I'm just like anybody else
can't you tell

I hold the key (the key)
To both realities

The girl that I want you want to know
If only I could show

The other side
the other side
I want you to see

The other side
the other side
the other side of me

Inside I try
to make the peices fit right
A jigsaw puzzle everywhere

Cause i flip
On this trip

Too many times forget
Whos on stage, whos in the mirror

Back in the spotlight
The crowd is calling
The paparazies everywhere

Theyll make a girl insane

If you could see
the other side of me

I'm just like anybody else
can't you tell

I hold the key
To both realities

The girl that I want you want to know
If only I could show

The other side
the other side
I want you to see

The other side
the other side
the other side of me

Down inside im not that different
Like everyone I have a dream!
Don't want to hide
Just want to fit in so
That is harder than it seems

If you could see
the other side of me

I'm just like anybody else
can't you tell

I hold the key
To both realities
The girl that I want you want to know

If you could see
the other side of me

I'm just like anybody else
can't you tell

I hold the key (the key)
To both realities

The girl that I want you to know
If only I could show

The other side
the other side
I want you to see

The other side
the other side
the other side of me

The other side
the other side
I want you to see

The other side
the other side of me!

JUST LIKE YOU - Miley Cyrus (again and again)

So what you see, is only half the story
There's another side of me
I'm a girl you know but I'm someone else too
If you only knew
It's a crazy life but I'm alright

I got everything I've always wanted
I'm living the dream
It's everything I've always wanted
Is it always what it seems?
I'm a lucky girl
Whose dreams came true
But underneath it all I'm just like you

Don't wanna be treated differently
I wanna keep it all inside
Half the time I've got my name in lights
The other half right by your side
It's a crazy life but I'm just fine

I got everything I've always wanted
I'm living the dream
It's everything I've always wanted
Is it always what it seems?
I'm a lucky girl
Whose dreams came true
But underneath it all I'm just like yoooouuuu....yeeeaaahhh

Cause you see I'm just an ordinary girl
Livin' in an extraordinary world
Tryin' to live, tryin' to learn, tryin' to just be who I am
I got everything I've always wanted
I'm living the dream
It's everything I've always wanted
Is it always what it seems?
I'm a Lucky girl
Whose dreams came true
But underneath it all I'm just like you
I got everything I've always wanted
I'm living the dream
It's everything I've always wanted
Is it always what it seems?
I'm a Lucky girl
Whose dreams came true
But underneath it all I'm just like you

destiny-Jim Brickman Feat. Jordan Hill And Billy Porter

What if i never knew
What if i never found you
I'd never have this feeling in my heart
How did this come to be
I don't know how you found me

But from the moment i saw you
Deep inside my heart i knew

Baby you're my destiny
You and i were meant to be
With all my heart and soul
I give my love to have and hold
And as far as i can see
You were always meant to be
My destiny

I wanted someone like you
Someone that i could hold on to
And give my love until the end of time
But forever was just a word
Something i'd only heard about

But now you're always there for me
When you say forever i believe

Baby you're my destiny
You and i were meant to be
With all my heart and soul
I give my love to have and hold
And as far as i can see
You were always meant to be
My destiny

Maybe all we need is just a little faith
'cause baby i believe
That love will find the way

Baby you're my destiny
You and i were meant to be
With all my heart and soul
I give my love to have and hold
And as i far as i can see
From now until eternity
You were always meant to be
My destiny

greatset story ever told--inspiration!

Thank you for this moment
I've gotta say how beautiful you are
Of all the hopes and dreams i could have prayed for
Here you are
If i could have one dance forever
I would take you by the hand
Tonight it's you and i together
I'm so glad i'm your man
And if i lived a thousand years
You know i never could explain
The way i lost my heart to you
That day
But if destiny decided i should look the other way
Then the world would never know
The greatest story ever told
And did i tell you that i love you
Tonight
I don't hear the music
When i'm looking in your eyes
But i feel the rhythm of your body
Close to mine
It's the way we touch, it soothes me
It's the way we'll always be
Your kiss your pretty smile
You know i'd die for
Oh baby
You're all i need
And if i lived a thousand years
You know i never could explain
The way i lost my heart to you
That day
But if destiny decided i should look the other way
Then the world would never know
The greatest story ever told
And did i tell you that i love you
Just how much i really need you
Did i tell you that i love you
Tonight
Tonight
And if i lived a thousand years
You know i never could explain
The way i lost my heart to you
That day
But if destiny decided i should look the other way
Then the world would never know
The greatest story ever told
And did i tell you that i love you
Just how much i really need you
Did i tell you that i love you tonight

Summary of Our Town

Our Town
by Thorton Wilder (1897 - 1975)

Type of Work:
Presentational life drama
Setting
Grover's Corners, New Hampshire; 1901 to 1913
Principal Characters
Stage Manager,
the play's all-wise narrator
Dr. and Mrs. Gibbs, an ordinary small- town physician and housewife
George Gibbs, their son
Mr. and Mrs. Webb, a news editor and his wife
Emily Webb, their daughter
Simon Stimson, the town drunkard and church choir organist
A conglomeration of other ordinary people living out ordinary lives
Story Overview
Act 1. Daily Life:
The Stage Manager speaks while pointing to different parts of the stage: "Up here is Main Street ... Here's the Town Hall and Post Office combined ... First automobile's going to come along in about five years; belonged to Banker Cartwright, our richest citizen ... lives in the big white house up on the hill." A train whistle is heard, and the early birds of the town start to appear. The newsboy and the milkman begin their rounds just as the doctor is finishing his. They stop for a brief exchange of gossip: the school teacher is getting married, the doctor just delivered twins, and the milkman's horse refuses to adjust to a change in route.
Now Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Gibbs are spotlighted in their respective kitchens, preparing breakfast. Mrs. Gibbs calls up to her children, George and Rebecca, and, as they appear, complains to her husband that George isn't helping with the chores. Mrs. Webb reminds her son Wally to wash thoroughly. The Gibbs daughter, Rebecca, doesn't want to wear her blue gingham dress. George negotiates for a raise in his allowance. Each child is reminded to eat slowly, finish his breakfast, stand up straight ... The day has begun.
Later, coming home from school, Emily Webb promises to give George Gibbs some help with his algebra. At the Congregational Church, choir practice can be heard. In the Gibbs home, George and his father have a "serious" talk about growing up. Returning from choir practice, Mrs. Gibbs prattles on about the drunken choir organist, Simon Stimson. The town constable makes his rounds to ensure that all is well, and the Stage Manager calls an end to this typical day in Grover's Corners.
Act 2. Love and Marriage:
"Three years have gone by," muses the Stage Manager. "Yes, the sun's come up over a thousand times . . . " The date is now July 7,1904. It's been raining. As Mrs. Gibbs and Mrs. Webb reappear in their kitchens, he continues: "Both of those ladies cooked three meals a day - one of'em for twenty years and the other for forty - and no summer vacation. They brought up two children apiece, washed, cleaned the house ... and never a nervous breakdown. It's like what one of those Middle West poets said: You've got to love life to have life, and you've got to have life to love life ... It's what they call a vicious circle."
Howie, the milkman, makes his deliveries to Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Gibbs, and at each house you hear talk of the same two breakfast-table conversation topics: the weather and the upcoming wedding of Emily and George. The chit-chat is typical of things people say before weddings. Mrs. Gibbs worries out loud about the inexperience of the bride and groom; the doctor reminisces about being a groom himself. His fear was that he and his wife would run out of things to talk about which, he chuckles, hasn't been the case at all.
When George comes downstairs and is about to leave for a visit with Emily, his mother reminds him to put on his overshoes. But Emily's mother, though she invites George into her kitchen, won't let him see her daughter. Traditionally, she says, a groom is not allowed to see his bride on the wedding day until the ceremony begins. Mr. Webb placates young George: "There is a lot of common sense in some superstitions." The nervous groom sits down to a cup of coffee with Mr. Webb, his equally nervous future father-in-law. Mr. Webb makes various attempts at small talk and reassures George that his nervousness about impending matrimony is typical. "A man looks pretty small at a wedding ... all those women standing shoulder to shoulder making sure that the knot is tied in a might grand way." He then shares with George the advice his father gave him when he married; the stern counsel to keep his wife in line and show her who's in charge. George is puzzled until Mr. Webb goes on: "So I took the opposite of my father's advice and I've been happy ever since."
The Stage Manager interrupts this scene b y dismissing the characters on stage and telling the audience that he wants to show them "how this all began this wedding, this plan to spend a lifetime together ... I'm awfully interested in how bi 9 things like that begin." He takes two chairs from the Gibbs kitchen, arranges them back-to-back, with two planks across and two stools in front, to serve as Morgan's Main Street Drugstore Counter.
Emily and George again enter, now as high school students. They call goodbye to their friends. Over an ice cream soda George asks Emil y if she will write to him while he is away at college. She admits her concern that George will lose interest in Grover's Corners - and in her - once he is away. He unhappily contemplates this possibility for a moment, then decides that he shouldn't go: "I guess new people aren't any better than old ones." He tries to explain that he has decided to stay because of the way he feels about her, and, in halfspoken sentences, the two manage to express their love. The act culminates in a moving wedding scene, containing all the elements of potential sorrow and abundant happiness.
Act 3. Life and Death:
Nine years have passed, and we are looking down at a cemetery on a hill. We see that many of the townspeople we came to know in the first two acts have passed on. The Stage Manager slowly speaks: "Whenever you come near the human race, there's layers and layers of nonsense .... We all know that something is eternal. And it ain't houses and it ain't names ... that something has to do with human beings." And so the dead stand, patient and smiling, awaiting not "judgement," but greater understanding of eternity.
Into the midst of the dead is led a young mother. Emily and her second baby have just died in childbirth. She timidly approaches the assemblage, glancing wistfully back toward the life she has just departed. Gradually recognizing the spirits before her, Emily suddenly realizes that none of these people truly understood or appreciated the greatness of being alive! There had been no appreciation of life's little, fleeting moments; no ability to stop and absorb life's essence; no comprehension of the deep human value of the moment.
Emily is given the choice to return to earth and relive a day in her life. The dead - including her mother-in-law, Mrs. Gibbs, try to discourage her, warning her that returning to earth will be too painful. Nonetheless, Emily elects to reexperience one of the happiest days of her life - her twelfth birthday.
As the day unfolds, however, Emily's excitement turns to disillusionment. She feels no joy in watching herself with her father and mother and her little brother Wally; the day is wasted with trivial preoccupations. She cries to her mother: "Just for a moment we're happy. Let's look at one another. . . " Then, pangs of remorse fill her - her life, just like the lives of her family members and Grover's Corners neighbors, was never fully savored either. It cai-ne, was lived in self-centeredness and pctty preoccupations, then swiftly departed - all quite meaningless. The suicidal Simon Stimson appears and offers a poignant yet bitter comment: "Life is a time of supreme ignorance, folly and blindness."
Unable to endure this vision, Emily hurries back to her body's resting place. There she finds George, her husband, weeping by her grave. Too late, she now understands: Our time on earth is an irreplaceable gift, one to be treasured and relished every moment; life is a fragile gift that is delivered to us in pieces, and it only achieves meaning as we cherish and blend the pieces - even the seemingly insignificant pieces - into a full, universal whole.

MY EXPERINCES IN GMA & PDI

I woke up early as 3:00 am. I took a bath then I eat my breakfast. It was quarter to five when I finished preparing the stuffs that I should bring. I prepared my reporter’s notebook, social studies book, camera, other gadgets and my lunch. It was five minutes before 5:00 am when I rode our van and went to school. I arrived at CIC for about 10 minutes after 5:00 am. When I arrived at CIC, I look for my seat which is beside Meg. Meg and some of my “barkada” are inside the building so I have to wait for them inside the bus. We started our tour for about 30 minutes past 5. We still have to pick up Shiela, Eloi, Jena, and Dennis in Sta. Rosa.

On our way to GMA we stopped at express way to buy foods and have some refreshments. Almost everyone in the bus bought snacks, but not me. I chose to be at the bus and try to study our lessons in social studies for we have a quiz the next day. When everyone came back to the bus, we carry on with our journey. We arrived at GMA7 around 9:00 am.

We waited at the waiting area for a few minutes, and then, ate Freida showed up. She was the one who show us around the GMA7 studios. She first showed us the studio of 97.1 WLS FM. There, we, met ate Strawberry. Then we went to the studio of DZBB. There, we saw Mr. Arnold Clavio and Mrs. Boots Anson–Roa. After that we went to the studio 1 & 2 of GMA7. On our way there, we saw Mark Herras outside the studio 3. Then, we continue to got to the studio 1 & 2. The studio 1 is the studio of Unang Hirit. On the other hand, studio 2 is the studio for GMA Flash Report and 24 oras. After that, we decided to go back to the bus and start our journey on the way to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. For two hours, we have our lunch break. We don’t need to eat that long! We could eat for a few minutes. So, after eating, we have some sleep.

We entered PDI at 1:30 pm. We went to a room to learn more about PDI. There, we met ate Megi and ate Joba. They guided us for our tour in PDI. After that we went to another building to see and learn the Philippine Daily Inquirer printing process. The floor in there is quite slippery.

After that we start our journey on the way to SM North EDSA. We have 1 hour to shop. Sheena and Czarinah went to the Department. I bought stuffed toys. The store already gave the stuffed toys names. But Meg and I changed it. We decided to have some deal regarding our stuffed toys names. One hour is over. The seven of us rushed back to the bus with our dinner. When we arrived at the bus, we were shocked to learn that the bus is broken. We ate our lunch outside the bus. We are like street children eating luxurious foods and using hi-tech gadgets, outside the mall. We waited for hours before the bus was fixed. When we are already inside the bus, the bus machine broke again. Then, it was fixed, and broke again. It’s past ten. We are supposed to arrive at CIC at ten. While waiting for the bus to be fixed, I called my father, who’s in hardly. Well, it always happens to me, it started when I was in grade 5.

Just something to remind everyone...

Our time on earth is an irreplaceable gift, one to be treasured and relished every moment; life is a fragile gift that is delivered to us in pieces, and it only achieves meaning as we cherish and blend the pieces - even the seemingly insignificant pieces - into a full, universal whole.

An unfinish love story of mine: THE FAMILIAR FACE

Then one day, my turn came...

Last vacation, I brought my brother to his tutorial. I saw a guy who looks a little familiar. Then, everytime I bring my brother to his turorial, I saw that guy. Few days after, I saw him again, but this time, not on my brother's tutorial. I saw him on the church. He made an offering. Everytime I go to church, I always see him and he always do an offering.

School year started. I went back to my brother's tutorial. I saw him there again. He talked to a friend of mine and I noticed that they wore the same uniform. The next thing I learned is that he studies in my former school!

December 18. I tag along on my brother's educational tour. When we ate lunch, I saw him eating at the same restaurant. Then when the presentation started, I saw him passed by. I was actually planning to took a picture of him but it's too dark inside. When the presentation was finished, I exit from the hall. While I was walking, I saw a familiar rubber shoes and cream jacket worn by someone familiar to me. Then I remembered that that jacket and rubber shoes belong to the guy I'm crushing on! I look beside me and it was him. Few minutes later, I heard his soft voice saying "EXCUSE ME". I saw him talk to the guy who I considered as my bestfriend among the guys. I asked his name to my friend and he answered immediately. I don't want to say his name. Let's just call him "TOM" for that was the name I thought his name was.

December 22, Me and my friends decided to visit our former school. We went to the first years classroom. There are two doors on their classroom. I was on the right door talking to a friend. Then on the left door was him saying "pasok kayo kung gusto niyong kumain". I went to the first floor. He and his friends are just behind us. I and my friends took a seat on the stairs. Tom and his friends was playing the guitar. Tom was playing the song "STARS" by Callalily. "STARS" at those times is my favorite song!

That was the last time I saw him...

WANTING FOREVER

Wanting Forever

© By Crystal Gehr

Wanting forever
For your warmth to be near
Wanting forever
For your smile to be here

To re-live your touch
Maybe too much

To re-embrace you
To be entranced by you

Wish it could've lasted forever
but instead it went by so fast
Never wanted to let you go
But now that I did - I cannot rest

I can't forget, how much I care
The few moments we shared
Your every word lingers within me
Every move you made, is in my memory
But the few seconds I want to remember most
Are the only ones that are completely lost

Now I think of you
Almost every night
but ever since your eyes met mine
You're out of my reach, out of my sight

FIRST CRUSH

First Crush

© By Jessica E. Sumpter

<adapted by Veronica Balbin>

I remember you from long ago
I thought you hung the moon.
I have learned so much
About life & love
Since those innocent days
In the schoolyard.
Yes, I remember you.
I look back upon those days
Such innocence!
A rope not yet frayed.
We held the world in our hands
And life was good
Sure, I remember you
You were my first crush.

Something from Vanessa Hudgens

WHEN THERE WAS ME AND YOU

It's funny when you find yourself
Looking from the outside
I'm standing here but all I want
Is to be over there
Why did I let myself believe
Miracles could happen
Cause now I have to pretend
That I don't really care

I thought you were my fairytale
A dream when I'm not sleeping
A wish upon a star
Thats coming true
But everybody else could tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
When there was me and you

I swore I knew the melody
That I heard you singing
And when you smiled
You made me feel
Like I could sing along
But then you went and changed the words
Now my heart is empty
I'm only left with used-to-be's
Once upon a song

Now I know your not a fairytale
And dreams were meant for sleeping
And wishes on a star
Just don't come true
Cause now even I tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
Cause I liked the view
When there was me and you

I can't believe that
I could be so blind
It's like you were floating
While I was falling
And I didn't mind

Cause I liked the view
Thought you felt it too
When there was me and you
